The girls with big skirts, big voices and big dreams are back with another musical trip down memory lane! Following last year's production of The Marvelous Wonderettes, Geva Theatre Center presents The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns. Written and created by Roger Bean with vocal and musical arrangements by Michael Borth, The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns is directed by Melissa Rain Anderson with musical direction by Don Kot and will be performed in the Fielding Stage from tonight, December 7, through December 24. When Manuel gets a scholarship to study at Oxford, he's faced with the realization that he can't leave the USA. He takes on The Statue of Liberty in the fight of a lifetime; the high-stakes boxing match that is immigration today. Is Manuel worthy? No one is spared in this political comedy that pulls no punches about immigration reform and the American Dream.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's latest musical Hamilton has recently moved into the Richard Rodgers theatre in anticipation of a July 13 opening, and tech rehearsals just kicked off last week. Today, the creator/star posted a backstage photo featuring he and IN THE HEIGHTS' Robin De Jesus enjoying a cup of joe (and listening to some jams?), along with the caption, 'Something weird is happening. Walnut Street Theatre opens its landmark 205th season with the groundbreaking 21st century musical IN THE HEIGHTS. Directed by Bruce Lumpkin, with choreography by Michelle Gaudette, this exhilarating musical about chasing your dreams and finding your true home is currently in previews and opens on September 11th, running through October 20th on the WST Mainstage. Earlier this year, Lin-Manuel Miranda held a benefit concert at the United Palace for Cultural Arts, In The Heights: In Concert which was presented by Viva Broadway, an initiative of The Broadway League that aims to promote Broadway theatre within the Latino Community. A surplus of ticket sales proceeds went towards The Broadway League's Family First Nights initiative - a nationwide program specifically designed to encourage economically disadvantaged families to attend theatre and local arts programs.

Pulitzer Prize-winner Lawrence Wright premieres his new play at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. It is a fictional play about the last days of legendary journalist Oriana Fallaci. Don't miss this sizzling new script, which is directed by Oskar Eustis, stars Concetta Tomei and Marjan Neshat, and features an incredible team of designers. The 65th world premiere presented by Berkeley Rep, Fallaci is currently in previews in the Roda Theatre and opens March 13, running through April 21. The New Group presents the world premiere of Clive, written by Jonathan Marc Sherman and directed by and featuring Ethan Hawke in the title role. The fourth annual LIVING FOR TODAY concert showcased Broadway stars in an exciting night of music. This year's concert, titled FIRST NAME BASIS, featured everyone's favorite showtunes, but only those with a first name in the title. Proceeds go to the Gilana Shira Alpert Fund. Corbin Bleu starred in the Emmy-award winning Disney Channel Original Movie 'High School Musical' and its sequel, 'High School Musical 2' alongside Zac Efron, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale. Bleu plays, Chad , the devoted basketball player and best friend to Troy (Efron). 'High School Musical 2' premiered to 18 million viewers, making it the highest rated Disney Channel Original Movie in history and overall highest rated program in cable history.
