Today we rewind to 2012, when the second Broadway revival of Annie opened at the Palace Theatre, where it ran for 487 performances. Annie features a book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin, with all three authors receiving 1977 Tony Awards for their work.

This past Sunday Lea Salonga, who played ANNIE in Manila in 1980 had a chance to duet on 'Maybe' with upcoming ANNIE in Manila star Krystal Brimner.

Brooklyn's newly restored Kings Theatre (1027 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY) will present the all-new U.S. tour of the beloved musical Annie in a limited 16 performance only engagement at the venue this holiday season, December 15 - 27, 2015. Tickets are on sale now. Directed by original lyricist and director Martin Charnin for the 19th time, this production of Annie is a brand new physical incarnation of the iconic Tony Award®-winning original.

Via Andrea McArdle and the Original Broadway Cast of ANNIE, is a clip from an Television Special that aired on NBC, in 1977, the year the musical opened on Broadway at the ALVIN Theatre and became a bonafide SMASH! THE ANNIE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL was not particularly good, but was capitalizing on the name of the show that suddenly everyone was talking about.

American Airlines is the official airline of the new critically acclaimed new production of the Tony Award-winning musical Annie. Cast members from the production performed a selection of songs from the show at Terminal 8 at John F. Esta semana han tenido lugar en Madrid las audiciones para el musical Annie, que se estrenará en el Teatro Nuevo Apolo el próximo 9 de Octubre. Cerca de 400 niñas entre 6 y 12 años se presentaron con la esperanza de llegar a interpretar a la joven Annie, o alguna de las otras 12 huérfanas de la historia. BroadwayWorld Spain pudo asistir a una de estas audiciones en el Círculo Catalán de Madrid, en la que las niñas realizaron pruebas de danza y canto.
