Spring 2024 will see four world premieres, one UK premiere, and one English language premiere by acclaimed writers including April De Angelis, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Christopher Hampton and Richard Nelson alongside rising playwrights Sarah Power and Richard Molloy.

In addition to her “Wonderland”—a song conceived of at the Alice in Wonderland statue in New York’s Central Park and co-written with Sprague— she ends the EP with her rendition of Jeff Lynne’s “Mr. Blue Sky,” from Electric Light Orchestra’s 1977 album Out of the Blue. (The music video for “Wonderland” will be released with the album in April).

Instead of introducing one tune, the vibrant and lucent vocalist releases three full EPs (six songs each) from January to March in anticipation of the April 14 release of her fourth CD, RETRO Trilogy on Allegato Music. '1977,' the first of the three EPs, was released in January, the second EP '1988' in March and '1999' is available now.

The Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition is the world's most visible jazz vocal competition of its kind and provides a platform for one outstanding female singer to launch a career in the music industry. The competition started in 2012 and was co-produced by NJPAC and JAZZ ROOTS, a Larry Rosen Production. Jazz fans are invited to review and vote for entries online; then five finalists are selected for a live performance at NJPAC as part of the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, where a panel of expert judges decides the recipient of the SASSY Award.

PITTSBURGH, PA (July 6, 2015) — The world premiere A NEW KIND OF FALLOUT is showcased in Opera Theater of Pittsburgh's fourth SummerFest season. Dear Bookworks Bookworm, I read a book this month that I had every intention of liking, but didn't. It had a story line that interested me but the characters were one dimensional and flat and the writing that was not worth writing home about. Rather than review a book that disappoints, I decided to review a movie that I had just seen with Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche, Words and Pictures. This is a movie well worth the ticket price. It is always a pleasure seeing a movie where actors do what they should be doing best, acting and where writers are doing what they should be doing best, writing.
