The Three Musketeers is a tale of heroism, treachery, close escapes and honor. The time is 1625 and d’Artagnan goes to Paris looking for adventure. When he reaches Paris he meets the famous musketeers, Athos, Porthos and Aramis. He soon joins them to defend the honor of the Queen of France. They fight against Cardinal Richelieu and the Countess de Winter to save the day. Presented at the Schwartz Center.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has confirmed that J.M. Barrie's original stage play of Peter Pan will open its 2015 season (15 May - 14 June 2015). This will be followed by The Seagull (19 June - 11 July) and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers(16 July - 29 August). Following sell-out performances in 2011, Timothy Sheader's production of William Golding's Lord of the Flies will then return to the Open Air Theatre (3 - 12 September) to conclude the 2015 season, prior to a major UK tour. Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 50th anniversary celebration with the return of David Sedaris' The Santaland Diaries, directed by Kansas City Repertory Theatre Artistic Director Eric Rosen. This hilarious send-up of David Sedaris' tale of elfin' woe in his brief, misguided career as a Macy's elf, skewers the sentimental love of all things Christmas. This show will feature Brian Sills, who starred in last year's production as Crumpet, the disgruntled Macy's holiday elf. Shanna Jones, whom audiences saw open the production last year as one half of The Shenanigans, will perform holiday musical numbers during the performance. Performances run December 6 through 24 at KC Rep's downtown Copaken Stage in the Power & Light District. Press night is Thursday, December 11, 7pm curtain. 'The Heart of Things has many beautiful and delicate shades of grey', he says and then, with a laugh, adds, 'but not 50. It's definitely got more than 50. The 58th season will commence with the Kansas City Premiere of The Three Musketeers, choreography by Andre Prokovsky and music by Guiseppe Verdi, to be followed by the unveiling of Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney's all new production of The Nutcracker. Following the holiday classic, the winter program will feature the Kansas City Premiere of Swan Lake, choreography by Devon Carney, after Marius Petipa with the beloved music of Tchaikovsky. The 2015-16 season will finish with a joyful Spring Program featuring Kansas City Premieres of Adam Hougland's The Rite of Spring as well as new works by choreographers Helen Pickett, Viktor Plotnikov, and Yuri Possokhov. This hilarious send-up of David Sedaris' tale of elfin' woe in his brief, misguided career as a Macy's elf, skewers the sentimental love of all things Christmas. This show will feature Brian Sills, who starred in last year's production as Crumpet, the disgruntled Macy's holiday elf. Shanna Jones, whom audiences saw open the production last year as one half of The Shenanigans, will perform holiday musical numbers during the performance. Performances run December 6 through 24 at KC Rep's downtown Copaken Stage in the Power & Light District. Press night is Thursday, December 11, 7pm curtain. This touching and wickedly hysterical Tony Award-winning best play features Broadway, television and film veterans: Philippe Bowgen (Spike), Gina Daniels (Cassandra), Carolyn McCormick (Masha), Mark Nelson (Vanya), Michele Pawk (Sonia) and Jamie Ann Romero (Nina). Last Christmas Quintessence took you on an adventure across the English countryside and into the wild wood. This year we will venture down the rabbit hole.
