Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop, has announced that Bianca Amato, Shirine Babb, John Patrick Doherty, Austin Durant, Richard Easton, Francesca Faridany, Stephanie Fieger, Malcolm Gets, John Glover, Ben Horner, Ruy Iskandar, Brian d'Arcy James, Byron Jennings, Aaron Krohn, Jeremiah Maestas, Christopher McHale, Jonny Orsini, Sam Poon, Triney Sandoval, Nathan Stark, Daniel Sunjata, Patrick Vaill, Tyler Lansing Weaks and Derek Wilson will join Ethan Hawke and Anne-Marie Duff in its upcoming production of Shakespeare's MACBETH, directed by Jack O'Brien. The production, which will feature a cast of 27, will begin previews on Thursday, October 24 and open on Thursday, November 21 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). (more...)

Happy Birthday, Neil Patrick Harris! A veteran of the theater, Harris recently tackled the role of Bobby in the New York Philharmonic's production of Stephen Sondheim's 'Company' at Lincoln Center. Harris made his Broadway debut in the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama 'Proof,' and subsequently starred on the Great White Way as the Emcee in 'Cabaret,' and as The Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald in the Tony Award-winning production of 'Assassins.' His additional theater credits include roles in 'All My Sons,' 'Tick, Tick... Boom,' 'The Paris Letter,' 'Sweeney Todd,' 'Rent' and 'Romeo and Juliet.' Harris made his theatrical directorial debut with 'I Am Grock' at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood. Additionally, he directed a production of Jonathan Larson's 'Rent' at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and more recently he helmed a production of 'The Expert at the Card Table' at the Broad Stage Theater. Harris just won a Tony Awards for his portayal of the title character in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. (more...)

Compassion!, 'Smallville') will star in Love, Noel: The Letters and Songs of Noel Coward, devised and written by Coward authority Barry Day, and directed by Jeanie Hackett, who over saw The Antaeus Theatre production of Noel Coward's Tonight at 8:30 and the three-year development of the Antaeus production of Coward's Peace in Our Time. The musical direction and piano accompaniment is by David O. Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for the world-premiere historical drama Camp David, penned by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lawrence Wright and directed by Artistic Director Molly Smith. Based on true events surrounding the 1978 Camp David Accords, the play follows the 13-day meeting between President Jimmy Carter, Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat as they attempted to create the impossible: peace in the Middle East. The world premiere of 17 Orchard Point, a new play starring Tony Award-winner Michele Pawk, will begin performances tonight, April 25 for a limited four-week Off-Broadway run at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) through May 24.
