BWW Exclusive: My Riotous Night at JULIUS CAESAR
by Leah Lane - Jun 21, 2017

I find controversy delicious. As an avid theatre goer, there are very few times when I enter a theater with no preconceptions about what I'm about to see. Whether it's just the gossip I've heard around or the ads that I skip after 5 seconds on YouTube, I usually have some prior knowledge about the subject matter. This was especially true when I went into the Delacorte Theater to see the Public's production of Julius Caesar. As someone who sees herself as a socially active artist, I got excited. (more...)

Those of us raised in a home where we knew dating a person of another race would never be accepted will certainly identify with the premise of EMMITT AND AVA, a modern tale of love and loss written and directed by two-time Ovation winner Dominic Hoffman as a Co-Production with Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica. The play's Los Angeles Premiere, presented by Delta Highway Productions, features Tucker Smallwood, Tom Schanley, Stephanie Schulz, and Harry Fowler as members of two families, unacquainted with one another, who suddenly find themselves forced to communicate on most intimate terms after their two children die together in a tragic car accident. BWW Reviews: FRACTURE Keeps Us Guessing in Bathroom Drama at Old Fitz Theatre
by Brodie Paparella - Aug 8, 2016

Something terrible has happened. By the time you realise it's still happening, you will be too drawn into what seems like the closest thing to normal each of three housemates can enjoy. In Lucy Clements' quick-and-the-dead script, secure comprehension is slippery in the audience's grasp, which her doubling as director continually turns the tables through the latest late show at Old Fitz. Dark yet endearing, Fracture fits splendidly, although surreptitiously, into their edgy canon of Australian stories. (more...)
