Included are Street Theatre Company's Assassins, Center for the Arts' 42nd Street down in Murfreesboro, Rumors out at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre and the final performance of The Sparkley Clean Funeral Singers at Cumberland County Playhouse. The program was led by Musical Director and trumpeter Kenny Rampton (who once toured with the Ray Charles band), and included 10 longtime members of the icon's orchestra, along with the most recent ¬ďRayettes¬Ē (backup singers Renee Georges, Katrina Harper, and Angela Workman). ¬ďRay Charles Robinson, the genius of soul, his music was beyond genre,¬Ē Rampton told the audience. ¬ďAnything Mr. C. did from country to blues to the National Anthem was all Ray Charles . . .'
