According to TMZ, Ed Asner, who most recently appeard on Broadway in GRACE, was taken to the hospital yesterday in Gary, Indiana during a performance of FDR. The 83-year-old, was 15 minutes into the one-man play when crew members helped him off stage, noticing that he was having trouble with his lines. There is no word yet on his current health status. Main Street Theater collaborates for the second time with international partner Prague Shakespeare Company to present Shakespeare's Henry V. Featuring live Taiko drummers and an ensemble of 14 actors, the production will run in Houston in March and April and in Prague in the fall. MST and PSF produced Shakespeare's Richard III last season which was critically acclaimed both in Houston and in Prague. (more...)

The RSC is releasing a selection of music and speeches from Gregory Doran's productions of Henry IV parts I and II on a new CD and for download from iTunes. The recording is the second in the ongoing series which continues the ambition to capture the specially commissioned music composed for RSC productions of all Shakespeare's plays, as the Company works its way through the canon over the next six years.
