As part of their 100th Anniversary Season, Old Academy Players is proud to present the electrifying drama, Agnes of God, as its second mainstage production for 2022-2023. Agnes of God, written by John Pielmeier, debuted at The Eugene O'Neill Playwriting Conference in 1979, and later made its Broadway debut in 1982 starring Elizabeth Ashley, Geraldine Page and Amanda Plummer.

Tony winning singer and actress Diahann Carroll has died Friday at the age of 84.The Broadway community mourns the loss of beloved performer, pioneer, and Tony Award winner Diahann Carroll, who passed away on October 4, 2019 at age 84. To commemorate her life and work, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of the American Airlines, Broadhurst, Helen Hayes, Hudson, Marquis, New Amsterdam, Samuel J. Yesterday BroadwayWorld was saddened to report that Carrie Fisher, best known as Star Wars' Princess Leia Organa, has died after suffering a heart attack. She was 60. Family spokesman Simon Halls released a statement on behalf of Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd which reads: 'It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning. She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.'

IndieWire.com has reported, that at the time of her passing, Star Wars icon, Carrie Fisher, was at work on a sequel to her 2009 solo show, Wishful Drinking.

Susan R. Williamson, Director of the Palm Beach Poetry Festival (PBPF), today announced that the 13th annual festival is returning to Old School Square for six days, January 16-21, 2017. Special Guest Poet Palm will be Charles Simic, past United States Poet Laureate (2007-2008) and 1990 Pulitzer Prize winner.
