The Public Theater announced today that the New York premiere of MISS YOU LIKE HELL has been added to The Public's Astor Anniversary Season, celebrating 50 years of new work at 425 Lafayette Street and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR.

The rich diversity of contemporary dance will be on view for four nights, Today, September 7 through Sunday, September 10 at this year's Annual Performance Festival of the American Dance Guild at The Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55th Street, New York City.

Marilyn Maye always packs the Celebrity Room at Dino's Backstage in Glenside, PA, and now fans can get another chance to see this legendary performer as she returns there on September 14, 15 and 16. The month starts off with two performances by Paula Johns and Michael Richard Kelly on September 8 and 9. The duo will be accompanied by The Tom Adams Trio, with Tom Adams on piano, Steve Varner on bass and Grant MacAvoy on drums. On September 22 and 23, the multi-media tribute performer Randy Roberts will showcase his impersonations of famous women. Michael Richard Kelly and Paula Johns and The Tom Adams Trio wrap up the month with two performances on September 29 and 30.

The Brown Arts Initiative (BAI) at Brown University and New York City-based Performa announced today a new three-year collaboration. The inaugural component is the co-commission of a new work by artist Kelly Nipper with MIT's Self-Assembly Lab to be developed during an artists' residency at the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts at Brown University in summer 2017.

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the participants in Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead (BCJA)-the international jazz residency, performance, and composition project discovering and presenting the next generation of jazz greats-to be held March 20-31, 2017 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
