On June 7, 2018, Charles Strouse, the Tony Award-winning composer of Annie, Bye Bye and Applause, and some of the most popular music from the last 60 years of Broadway, film and television, turns 90. To mark the occasion, a year-long celebration of events, including tributes, concerts, revivals and international productions, will take place across the United States and around the world.

Refusing to end their 2017/2018 season, Delaware Theatre Company reprises their hit production Maurice Hines is Tappin' Thru Life. Happy to be performing for Wilmington audiences again, tap dancing legend Maurice Hines will wow audiences for one weekend only, Friday, June 1 to Sunday, June 3, 2018.

The stage is set for the return of THE THE, one of the most intriguing bands ever to emerge from England, armed with such classic songs as 'This Is The Day,' 'Uncertain Smile,' 'Heartland,' 'Love Is Stronger Than Death,' 'Armageddon Days (Are Here Again)' and 'Dogs of Lust,' from albums released between the early 1980's to 2000.

The musical that launched the Christmas single Mistletoe and Wine, will be directed by the original show's composer, Keith Strachan.

Tabard Theatre today announces full casting for their Christmas production of The Little Match Girl, based on the classic fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The musical that launched the Christmas single Mistletoe and Wine, will be directed by the original show's composer, Keith Strachan. Emily Cochrane leads the company in the role of The Little Match Girl and she will be joined by Jack Ayres Aimee Barrett (Josie), Charlotte Christensen (Liza), Julia Faulkner (Mrs Roberts/Winifred/ Washerwoman), Rob Hadden (Jeb), Kathryn Hamilton-Hall (Elsie/Cook/Maud), Matt Philip Harris, Ian McCurrach (Butler), Emily Whiting (Charlotte) and Anthony Williamson (Rich Man). The production opens on 8 December, with previews from 7 December and runs until 31 December.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the world premiere of Imaginary Comforts, or The Story of the Ghost of the Dead Rabbit, written by Daniel Handler and directed by Tony Taccone. The new play begins previews on Thursday, October 5 and the show runs through Sunday, November 19. Strange reports of magicians losing their powers make their way to the royal magistrate.  When two tricksters arrive with their fake magic show, the royal magistrate believes they have found the root of the problem.  Facing arrest, the two escape to a mystical forest where they discover the true cause of why magic is disappearing. Having to choose between risking the wrath of the royal court or taking their discovery to their graves, the tricksters must decide whether saving a kingdom is more important than saving themselves.
