La Compañía Nacional de Teatro del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL) estrena la obra La Celestina del escritor español Fernando de Rojas, con adaptación e idea original de Rosenda Monteros y dirección de Ruby Tagle, que estará en temporada del 9 de mayo al 2 de junio de 2019 en la Sala Héctor Mendoza. La puesta en escena, que empezó a ensayar en 2018 la actriz, directora y productora, fallecida el pasado diciembre a los 83 años, se torna hoy en homenaje a esta férrea impulsora del teatro del Siglo de Oro, que trabajó toda su vida a favor de la luz de la palabra y el universo poético.

Recorded on the superb 1733 Goffriller cello formerly owned by Pablo Casals, the album features the first three suites and marks the first time that Bach's Suites have been recorded on the instrument since Casals' own path-breaking venture in 1936.

The Utah Symphony today announced the lineup for the 2018 summer community concert series in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas, several of which feature outdoor venues. The schedule includes Gina Bachauer Piano Competition Finals on June 22 and 23 at 7 PM at Abravanel Hall, Gallivan Center on Monday June 25, Disney in Concert: "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" on June 27 and 28 at Abravanel Hall, the Utah Symphony at Snowbasin Resort on June 29 and August 7, the Utah Symphony at Thanksgiving Point on July 2, the Utah Symphony at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center on July 3, and Jenny Oaks Baker with the Utah Symphony on August 1 at Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre. Ticketing information is posted with each concert. No tickets are required for the Gallivan Center and Utah Cultural Celebration Center performances, which are free to the public. Tickets for the other performances are on sale now with ticketing information available at www.utahsymphony.org.
