It's 1978 in Buenos Aires and people are disappearing right off the street. What would you do? Look away? Or march against the oppression? As a divisive government turns neighbor against neighbor, Carolina risks everything to search for her pregnant daughter, Belen. While Carolina marches, her mother receives a surprise visit from someone who may hold the key to finding her. Together, they come up with a plan to bring Belen and her unborn child home. Will it work? Will they save her? Will they save themselves?

Marlyn Mason and filmmaker Lorraine Portman will be in attendance at The Rhode Island International Film Festival. Their short film FALLING SOUTH plays Wednesday evening August 8that 6:00 pm with award winning documentary film INGRID and another short film starring Marlyn Mason, AN AFFAIR REMAINS. RIFF represents the New England premiere for FALLING SOUTH and the world premiere for AN AFFAIR REMAINS.

By popular demand, Shakespeare & Company adds an additional performance of August Strindberg's dark comedy Creditors, adapted by playwright David Greig and directed by Nicole Ricciardi. In this production of what Strindberg calls his 'most mature work,' three characters must face their past, confronting love, debt, and deception. The added performance of this critically acclaimed hit will take place on August 8 at 3pm in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre. Performances run through August 12.

Shakespeare & Company presents the critically-acclaimed drama, Mothers and Sons by Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally, directed by James Warwick. Featuring Elliot Norton Award winner Annette Miller (4000 Miles, Golda's Balcony), performances run in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre August 16 - September 9.

WORKING, the 1978 musical that celebrated America's multi-faceted workforce, will celebrate its 40th anniversary with an all-star cast at Feinstein's/54 Below on Sunday, August 12th at 7:00pm and 9:30om. The concert will be hosted by WORKING'S songwriter Stephen Schwartz.

According to Deadline, Ben Daniels has joined the cast of Netflix's “The Crown” for its third season, playing the husband of Princess Margaret, Antony Armstrong-Jones.

Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director), an award-winning company presenting Shakespeare alongside other classic and contemporary drama at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, Downtown Brooklyn, is pleased to announce its 2018-19 season-the 39th since its founding in 1979.

Shakespeare & Company presents the New England Premiere of Morning After Grace written by Cary Crim, and directed by Regge Life who helmed last season's hit comedy God of Carnage. Morning After Grace is an unconventional new comedy tackling love, loss, and second chances. Performances run from May 24th - July 15th in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre.

On Monday, May 14, 2018, Third Street Music School Settlement (Third Street), the nation's longest running community school, will honor Grammy Award-winning Singer and Songwriter Rosanne Cash, Tony and Oscar Award-winner Joel Grey, and long-time Board Member and Award-winning Architect Byron Bell at its Annual Spring Gala. National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, celebrates the opening of two NNPN Rolling World Premiere (RWP) productions: Red Bike by Caridad Svich and The Madres by Stephanie Alison Walker.

On Friday April 6 and Saturday April 7 actress/author/minister Adrienne Barbeau brought An Evening with Adrienne Barbeau: There Are Worse Things I Could Do to the Debbie Reynolds Mainstage Theatre of the El Portal in NoHo. Playwright Brian Christopher Williams, a good personal friend of Barbeau's, moderated the evening. For 95 minutes Barbeau and Williams sat in comfortable chairs onstage and talked about her life which began in California and then moved onto New York and back. Barbeau is still youthful and beautiful at 72 and has such warmth and honesty oozing from every pore that the audience hung on every word. The evening never lagged..The time moved too quickly and an enthusiastic Q and A followed with Barbeau still beaming.

Shakespeare & Company announces its 2018 season casting. Under the direction of Artistic Director Allyn Burrows the Company's Summer Season includes a roster of audience beloved artists, critically acclaimed actors, and a host of newcomers joining the Company. The season opens Memorial Day Weekend with Carey Crim's New England Premiere of Morning After Grace, a comedic romance about second chances.

Arena Stage Artistic Director Molly Smith and Executive Director Edgar Dobie are pleased to announce that Broadway legend Maurice Hines will serve as the Master of Ceremonies and international touring artist and global humanitarian Mary McBride will headline the 2018 Arena Stage Gala honoring Mayor Muriel Bowser on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Mead Center for American Theater (1101 Sixth St., SW). As previously announced, the Gala features the presentation of the third annual Beth Newburger Schwartz Award to D.C. The Roll will run through Skylight Theatre Company (March 10-April 29 in Los Angeles, CA) and Teatro Vista (April 21-May 27 in Chicago, IL), MOXIE Theatre (May 13-June 10, in San Diego, CA), and Shrewd Productions (August 24-September 15 in Austin, TX). The Madres was presented at NNPN's 2016 National Showcase of New Plays, hosted by the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas-Austin.
