MVYRADIO will celebrate the move of its broadcast studios to an all-new facility at 489 State Road in West Tisbury with a grand opening for donors on July 3rd. The event will feature a performance by Grammy-awarded singer Sarah Jarosz, as well as tours of the new building.

This spring and summer artists at Joe's Pub a?" a program and venue of The Public Theater a?" will shine a light on the breath of Latinx art. This group of artists explore music styles with roots in Mexico, Chile, Cuba, the afrolatino traditions of the Caribbean, and more. Seasoned ears will be able to discern the influence of a myriad of traditions while newbies will be granted delightful access to the nuances under the Latinx umbrella at Joe's Pub.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced that Bay Area natives and provocateurs, Culture Clash, are returning with their latest production, Culture Clash (Still) in America. The play, written and performed by Culture Clash and directed by Obie Award winner Lisa Peterson, marks the fifth time the satirical group has performed at Berkeley Rep.

Beth Morrison Projects (BMP) and Trinity Church Wall Street (Trinity), together with PROTOTYPE: Opera|Theatre|Now, are pleased to announce a multiyear partnership in which BMP and Trinity will commission and produce five cutting-edge new opera-theater works for premiere at the PROTOTYPE Festival over three seasons (2021a?"2023). These comprise a new work by the Pulitzer Prize-winning composer-director team Du Yun and Michael McQuilken; two new works by librettist Royce Vavrek, paired with Mary Kouyoumdjian and Julian Wachner, respectively; a work by composer Ted Hearne with text by Halim Flowers and rap from Momolu Stewart; and a work by Paola Prestini with poet Brenda Shaughnessy.

STEEPLECHASE, a new dark comedy by Chris Nelson with direction by Maridee Slater begins as part of New York Theater Festival's Summerfest at Hudson Guild Theater (441 West 26th Street) on Monday August 19th with subsequent performances on August 23rd and 25th. The cast includes Valerie Redd*, James O'Hagan-Murphy*, Amy Laird Webb, Rob McDermott, Joel Reyer, Schuyler Van Amson, Tyra Hardy, Cristina Lucas* and Allison Pappas. *(Member of Actors Equity). Edward R. Matthews, CEO of ADAPT Community Network, announced its 2019 ADAPT Leadership Awards Gala to take place on Thursday, March 14th, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The event will be hosted by Cara Buono, co‐star of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, and Emmy‐ nominee for her role on Mad Men. The awards honor the accomplishments of extraordinary individuals and corporations who have made an impact on people with disabilities and have inspired others through their professional and charitable endeavors. The gala benefits the important ongoing programs and services of ADAPT Community Network. This year's honorees will be announced next month.

In the spirit of celebrating 35 years of cutting-edge performances, Undermain establishes its Repertoire Series to honor the gems of its production history, with a reboot of An Iliad, a landmark production from 2012 starring Bruce DuBose and Paul Semrad, directed by Undermain Artistic Director Katherine Owens. An Iliad is a modern-day retelling of Homer's classic. Poetry and humor, the ancient tale of the Trojan War and the modern world collide in this captivating theatrical experience. The setting is simple: the empty theater. The time is now: the present moment. The lone figure onstage is a storyteller-possibly Homer, possibly one of the many bards who followed in his footsteps. As the kick-off to this year's highly anticipated “2018 American Music Awards,” chart-topping artists Kane Brown and Ella Mai, singer and American Music Award winner Normani and award winning singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha today announced the nominations LIVE from YouTube Space LA.  The event was livestreamed on the official American Music Awards YouTube channel (YouTube.com/TheAMAs) and included a panel discussion about the nominations with the presenting talent and Billboard correspondent Chelsea Briggs. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, the “2018 American Music Awards” will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 9 at 8:00pm ET on ABC. 

 American Lyric Theater concludes the 10th Anniversary of its nationally acclaimed Composer Librettist Development Program this season with InsightALT: Opera in Eden, a one-night-only concert featuring three new one-act operas written by ALT Resident Artists, hosted by composer/librettist Mark Adamo and producing artistic director Lawrence Edelson.

For its 35th season Undermain celebrates its past, its future, and its present with two world premieres, a rarely seen world classic, and a celebratory reboot of a recent gem from the Undermain repertoire. The two world premieres bridge new American work from an eminent playwright to an important, emerging playwright, the classic presents a Dallas premiere by 'the father of realism,' the Undermain in rep series contemplates the Undermain's recent achievements, and our second Whither Goest Thou America: A Festival of New American Play Readings looks to the future.

Canadian rock troupes I Mother Earth and Finger Eleven are bringing their electrifying stage shows to Toronto's Festival of Beer (TFOB 2018), on Sunday, July 29. Their performances will take place on Bandshell Stage, Exhibition Place to close out the 2018 weekend celebration of beer, brewers and #BeerLove, presented by 102.1 The Edge.
