The 10th Anniversary Fertile Ground Festival starts in just over a week! This year's festival features more than 70 works, including plays, musicals, storytelling, dance, comedy, and more.

Excitement is building at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in Providence, RI, as the North American tour opening of the first ever Broadway revival of CATS approaches at the Theatre, January 22 - 27, 2019. To date, sixteen national tours have opened at PPAC since 2008. The CATS national tour launch will bring this number to seventeen national tour openings.

Certainly, if you're looking for a festive night on the town with your family this holiday week, WHITE CHRISTMAS at Dr. Phillips Center is your ticket. Following three sold-out shows in the 2017-18 season, Theatreworks USA's "Pete the Cat" is back. Based on the popular books by James Dean and Eric Litwin, this family-friendly musical comes to the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. This hour-long play is recommended for ages 3 and up.

The first images from the 42nd annual Thursford Christmas Spectacular have today been released showing the 130-strong cast in full swing. With lavish costumes made from over 1.5 million rhinestones, 100 meters of feathers and 2000 pom-poms, one of the nation's most anticipated Christmas is gearing up to open next week.

Little Miss Sunshine, the quirky off-Broadway hit musical will make its European Premiere in a brand new production at the Arcola Theatre, London on 21 March 2019, running for a 7 week season before embarking on a UK tour starting at New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich on 20 May 2019. Fontanafredda, one of Italy's most prominent and historic Barolo producers and Wine Enthusiast's European Winery of the Year, is excited to announce the launch of the third annual Barolo Week[s] in October 2018, after two highly successful editions. FOX and National Geographic today released a first look at the highly anticipated return of the Emmy Award-winning worldwide phenomenon COSMOS. Executive producer/writer/director Ann Druyan (who won an Emmy Award for writing the 2014 series and a Peabody Award for producing it) and executive producers Seth MacFarlane (FAMILY GUY, THE ORVILLE, 'COSMOS: A SpaceTime Odyssey'), Brannon Braga (THE ORVILLE, 'COSMOS: A SpaceTime Odyssey,' 'Terra Nova') and Jason Clark (THE ORVILLE, 'COSMOS: A SpaceTime Odyssey'), along with series host Neil deGrasse Tyson, the famed pop-culture icon, astrophysicist and host of the Emmy Award-nominated 'StarTalk,' were all on hand to share the sneak peek during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2018. COSMOS: POSSIBLE WORLDS is set to premiere on FOX and National Geographic in March 2019.

Actordirectorwriter Michael Arden needs no introduction. He was nominated for a second Tony this past season for directing the Tony winner for Best Revival of a Musical Once On This Island and is the first Artist.In.Residence at the Wallis Annenberg Theatre here in Los Angeles where he has directed Spring Awakening among many other productions. In our conversation he talks about directing Annie at the Hollywood Bowl, set to open next week Friday July 27. He also explores why the classic Award-winning show is still a popular revival.

The production is directed by Leonard Foglia and features original music composed and performed by bassist Marcus Shelby who joins Ms. Smith on stage.

As the celebrations, performances, and successes of The Cleveland Orchestra's Centennial Season continue toward its conclusion this spring, the Orchestra has announced details of its 101st season for 2018-2019. Aspects of the celebratory spirit continues - with a 100th Birthday concert in July for the Cleveland community and Centennial Gala in September. The new season also extends the dedicated week-to-week work, creativity, and artistry required to continue being one of the world's best orchestras year after year.
