These letters reveal how her mother, Mary Brooks Snyder, and her father, Luther William Snyder fell in love. Jill Snyder recalled her mother mentioning years before that she wanted them published. Veteran producer Pat Addiss (Buyer and Cellar, Love Letters) and Georganne Aldrich Heller (Howie the Rookie-Bam, Silent, Forgotten) president of Irish Theatre & Film Production (georgannealdricheller.com) have announced that they will join forces in presenting two invitation only, special staged readings of 'Loves of Picasso' written and directed by Terry D' Alfonso. The two readings will be held on October 9th at 2PM and 5pm at MOMA to coincide with museum's opening of the largest ever Picasso sculpture exhibit that same week. The script is based on the private life of Picasso, the women he loved and will include video installations conceived by Terry D' Alfonso. (more...)

With only a few performances remaining of Northern Sky Theater's (NST) 2015 season, their fall selection Lumberjacks in Love draws to a close. Douglas Mancheski retires the Dirty Bob shanty lumberjack he has played on and off since meeting Fred Alley in 1997. An event when Alley first discovered the actor and asked Mancheski to collaborate on the 'Little Dress' song that was immediately added to the popular NST musical. The solo song and dance continually brings smiles to audiences when Mancheski twirls in a ruffled white skirt on stage. Although Mancheski's burly lumberjack days are numbered this year, until NST's next production, he will still be a shanty boy through the holidays in Milwaukee. (more...)
