IF WE'VE NEVER BEEN TO THE MOON? and THE NAUGHTY FOX Come to The Marlowe Studio

...If We've Never Been To The Moon? will run at The Marlowe Studio from Friday 7 to Sunday 23 December. The play, produced by The Marlowe and written by their Literary Associate James Baldwin, is about Noel, a man on a quest: to find a man who filmed him falling more than 25 years ago, sent it to You've Been Framed, and didn't share the £250 with him like he promised. But, this festive season, Noel has decided he wants his cash. But how do you find someone when all you know about them is that they owned a video camera 25 years ago?

Noel's journey takes him to Deal, Kent, and back to 1989, to a cache of love letters written in the wake of the trauma of the IRA bombing in the town, which lead Noel into the strange world of moon landing conspiracy theories. Audiences are invited to grab a mince pie and join Noel on his strange journey.

...If We've Never Been To The Moon? has an age recommendation of 14 and over, and will include integrated captioning in every performance.

Opening on the same day will be another play written by James Baldwin and also produced by The Marlowe. The Naughty Fox is a heart-warming, play-along tale for children aged six months and older, and their grown-ups.

Both plays will be performed by the same actors. Jonathan Tynan-Moss (of Blean, near Canterbury) has been part of the Shakespeare's Globe touring company, and also appeared in The Marlowe's recent Armistice commemoration at Dover Marine Station, The Return Of The Unknown. Eleanor Wright (of Dover) was an Assistant Director on that project,and has worked with The Marlowe on several other community-based projects. Before training professional as an actor, she was part of The Marlowe's People's Company.
