Iconic hip-hop photographer Danny Hastings will be exhibiting a collection of his photographs and album covers at the Mayfair Hotel (1256 W 7th St) in Los Angeles, CA located inside their Regime Contemporary Art Gallery. Curated by Jason Freed from Substance Art Collective and Regime Contemporary, the gallery will open on October 3rd and be home to the collection through October 21st. The crown jewel of The Golden-Era exhibit will be the unveiling of a sculpted version of the NAS 'I Am...' album cover to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the album's release. The sculpture was done by Dave Cortes is based on the original album cover concept art and then re-created in 16-inch size in 24 Carat Gold. The piece will be unveiled for the first time at the grand opening of The Golden-Era exhibit, along with signed limited edition prints.

On July 19th, French label Naïve Classiques will release two new volumes in its ambitious Vivaldi Edition, presenting once-lost works of Vivaldi discovered at the Biblioteca Nazionale in Turin.  The 59th and 60th recordings in the series feature contralto Delphine Galou in recital with ensemble Accademia Bizantina under the baton of Ottavio Dantone, with guest artists Alessandro Giangrande, tenor, and concertmaster Alessandro Tampieri. 

It has been confirmed today that the multi-award winning, record breaking musical CHICAGO is coming to Melbourne next summer! Produced in Australia by John Frost and Suzanne Jones, this Australian production will premiere at Sydney's Capitol Theatre in August before the Brisbane season in November at QPAC's Lyric Theatre and culminating in a season at the State Theatre, Arts Centre Melbourne from December.

Annenberg Center Live And NextMove Dance Present The Martha Graham Dance Company in the EVE Project, Friday, January 25 (8 PM) and Saturday, January 26 (2 PM and 7 PM). The EVE Project commemorates the upcoming centennial of the 19th Amendment (which extended the right to vote to American women) with works by all female choreographers, staying true to Graham's tradition of social activism. The program features the Philadelphia premiere of Graham's powerful Chronicle; the first preview performance of Deo, a new work by celebrated choreographers Maxine Doyle and Bobbi Jene Smith, Graham's Diversion of Angels, and Ekstasis by Graham, reimagined by Virginie Mecene. Presented by The Reel Blues Fest, Inc., more than 16 blues musicians from around the country including James Montgomery, Bob Margolin, Jerry Portnoy and many others will come together on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. for an all-star tribute to the late blues harmonica legend James Cotton.

'Feathers of Fire: A Persian Epic' is a visually breathtaking cinematic shadow play for all ages, created and directed by Hamid Rahmanian, a 2014 Guggenheim fellowship-winning filmmaker/visual artist. Inspired by the tenth century Persian epic 'Shahnameh' (The Book of Kings), it dramatizes the origin story from the tale with elaborate shadow puppets, multimedia and live actors. The production, which debuted at BAM in 2016 and was presented at the Metropolitan Museum of Art the same year, returns to New York next month for two days only. It will be presented by Fictionville Studio September 7 and 8 at Kaye Playhouse, 695 Park Ave. (at 68th Street), for three performances only before it travels to China and Paris.
