The Purple Rose Theatre Company is announcing a casting change for the summer comedy Boeing-Boeing by Marc Camoletti. The role of Robert, originally to be played by John Seibert (Ann Arbor, MI), will now be played by Matthew David (Flint, MI) for the duration of the engagement June 17 through August 28, 2010. Seibert stepped down for medical reasons, but will continue to serve the production as the understudy for the role.

Last night, June 3, MCC Theater kicked-off it's three day presentation of readings from Playwright-in-Residence Neil LaBute's FILTHY TALK FOR TROUBLED TIMES: SCENES OF INTOLERANCE. The company features Craig Bierko, Alice Eve, Johnny Galecki, Josh Hamilton, Justin Long, and Julia Stiles, who will take on a variety of plum LaBute roles in this series of 'shorts.' Pill & Falco Team up for WIDE NIGHT Off-Broadway

Variety reports today that THE MIRACLE WORKER star Alison Pill will Join stage and screen vet Edie Falco on stage off-Broadway in the Naked Angels' production of THIS WIDE NIGHT, by Chloe Moss. The production will feature direction by Anne Kauffman (Stunning, The Thugs) and is set to open sometime this spring at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Theatre Row. The production will begin previews on May 8 and open May 16. The Naked Angels Theatre Company is currently represented on Broadway with NEXT FALL, co-produced by Elton John and David Furnish.
