What do you do when the leading man of a world premiere musical suffers an injury less than 48 hours before the first preview? For Bucks County Playhouse, the answer was simple: Call Justin Guarini.

Broadway and television star Telly Leung (Allegiance, Godspell, Rent, Fox TV's Glee ) will perform a one-night-only concert at The Wall Street Theater (71 Wall Street; Norwalk, CT 06850) on Monday, December 11 at 7:30 PM, his night off from his star turn in the title role of Disney's Aladdin on Broadway.

Tawnee Lynn Music Services will present the Inaugural Concert of the newly formed Los Angeles Classic Rock Orchestra (LACRO) led by Anthony Bonsera, Founding Artistic Director and Music Director, in a program entitled, Celebrating The 50th Anniversary of The Beatles' Album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and The Beatles' Album, Abbey Road. BAAD! The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance kicks off its fall season with the BlakTinX Performance Series from October 13 to November 18, 2017. General Director Pl cido Domingo has announced final details about LA Opera's company premiere of The Pearl Fishers, a rarely performed early work by Georges Bizet, the composer of Carmen. Mr. Domingo will conduct the first four performances of the opera (October 7, 15, 19 and 22), with the final two performances (October 25 and 28) conducted by Resident Conductor Grant Gershon. Performances will take place at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (135 North Grand Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90012).

Set your clocks and pop your popcorn... the Oscars are just TWO days away! While the annual salute to Hollywood's best and brightest has never been as 'full-on Broadway' as, say, that other theatrical celebration typically held in June, we can't deny that recent ceremonies have contained a bit more theatrical glitz than not, thanks in no small part to the rising popularity of the movie musical.  With Lin-Manuel Miranda among the roster of nominees, and Pasek and Paul's global phenom LA LA LAND poised to take home Oscar gold, there's no doubt that trend will continue throughout this Sunday's ceremony. (And trust me, we Broadway buffs couldn't be happier!)  So, to celebrate… we've compiled a list of the most prominent 'Broadway-fied' Oscar moments of the last decade, featuring Tony winners, big Broadway numbers, and a whole lotta that aforementioned flash.
