Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Obie Award-winner Quincy Tyler Bernstine (Ruined), Sierra Boggess (The Little Mermaid), Alexandra Silber (Master Class), Love, Loss, and What I Wore alumna Zuzanna Szadkowski ("Gossip Girl") and Ally Walker ("Sons of Anarchy") will all join upcoming casts of Love, Loss, and What I Wore, now in its third hit year at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 Street).

On Friday, I had the exceptional honor of talking to the most successful composer in the world, Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, all about the unprecedented new HD film version of his thrilling new musical coming to movie theaters in February, a continuation of the story begun in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, titled LOVE NEVER DIES. In addition to outlining the impossibly detailed process of bringing a production as complex as the Simon Phillips Australian staging of LOVE NEVER DIES to the big screen, we also discuss the genesis of the show and what an immense achievement it is to now have the original musical - in the form of the 25th anniversary Royal Albert Hall production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA - as well as the sequel - LOVE NEVER DIES - committed to celluloid, mere months apart. Also, 2012 is certainly the year of the Lord on Broadway thanks to new revivals of two of his most beloved musicals, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and EVITA (the latter starring Ricky Martin), as well as the 10,000th performance of PHANTOM on Broadway. Falling in love is sweeter the second time around, and it's true in the case of LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, an Off Broadway play that you would fall in love with, and would love to see over and over again. For that reason alone, Manila-based CTE Productions brought back LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE for another run at RCBC Theater in Makati City last weekend. Michael Williams and Cathy Azanza-Dy teamed up again as co-directors for LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, which was first performed in Manila in July 2011.

The Pulitzer Prize and Obie Award-winning Theatre for the New City (TNC) will hold its 9th Annual LOVE N' COURAGE benefit gala on Monday, February 13 at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South in Manhattan), this year honoring legendary centenarian writer Bel Kaufman, author of 'Up the Down Staircase,' it has been announced by Crystal Field, co-founder and artistic director of Theater for the City. The LOVE N' COURAGE celebration will begin with cocktails at 6:30pm, Dinner at 7:00pm, and performances at 8:00pm.

Love Lies Bleeding is an all new ballet based on the music of Elton John and Bernie Taupin, and it opened last night at Toronto's Sony Centre for the Performing Arts.
