Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta is set to bring five of Broadway's performances to Atlanta's majestic Fox Theatre this season. Featuring two Tony Award® winning musicals, the 2012-2013 season lineup includes WAR HORSE, Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, FLASHDANCE, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET and SISTER ACT.

The 84th Annual Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2011, hosted by Billy Crystal were presented on February 26, 2012 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The biggest night in Hollywood is coming up this weekend, and nine well-deserved movies are up for 'Best Picture' on Oscar Suday. Tune in on February 26 at 7pm on ABC to find out which film will take home the big prize- The Descendants, Moneyball, The Help, Hugo, War Horse, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, The Artist, The Tree of Life or Midnight in Paris.

Seattle Repertory Theatre 50th Anniversary Season to Include WAR HORSE, GLASS MENAGERIE, PULLMAN PORTER BLUES

Seattle Repertory Theatre has announced the first three titles confirmed for its upcoming 50th Anniversary season, which runs September 2012-May 2013. The theatre will produce Seattle playwright Cheryl L. West's new work Pullman Porter Blues, the Tennessee Williams classic The Glass Menagerie in an intimate and imaginative new staging, and will partner with Seattle Theatre Group to present the Broadway hit War Horse.

Last week members of the press got a special sneak peek at the cast of the upcoming production of War Horse in Toronto. Held at the rehearsal studio in Liberty Village, many people came out to get a first glimpse at the Canadian 'Joey' and his fellow castmates. It was hard to find a dry eye in the house by the time they were done their run-through, and BWW is thrilled to bring its readers these photos from that special morning.

Highlights of the forthcoming productions at the National Theatre, announced today by Nicholas Hytner, include new plays by Alan Bennett, Stephen Beresford, Lisa D'Amour, James Graham and Lucy Prebble. There will be adaptations of Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Simon Stephens, and of The Count of Monte Cristo by Richard Bean. Enda Walsh's Misterman receives its London premiere; classic revivals include Polly Findlay's production of Sophocles' Antigone, Shakespeare's Timon of Athens directed by Nicholas Hytner, Bijan Sheibani's staging of Damned for Despair by Tirso de Molina, and Nadia Fall's production of Bernard Shaw's The Doctor's Dilemma.
