The New York Philharmonic will present Rachmaninoff: A Philharmonic Festival, November 10-28, 2015, featuring 24-year-old Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov performing three of the composer's piano concertos and the Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini over the course of three consecutive all-Rachmaninoff programs, each led by a different conductor: Cristian Macelaru (in his Philharmonic debut), Neeme Jarvi, and Ludovic Morlot.

Das Landestheater Linz hat den Spielplan fur die Saison 2015/2016 vorgestellt. Das Programm umfasst neben der Wiederaufnahme des kurzlich angelaufenen 'The Who's Tommy', vier Musicalpremieren. Den Anfang macht im Oktober der Klassiker SINGIN' IN THE RAIN im Musiktheater Volksgarten, gefolgt von HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH im Blackbox Theater. Im neuen Jahr ist dann im Schauspielhaus Promenade zum ersten Mal in Österreich GRAND HOTEL zu erleben. Den Abschluss macht dann das Sondheim Erfolgsmusical INTO THE WOODS - AB IN DEN WALD, das ab April im Musiktheater Volksgarten zu sehen sein wird.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale (LAMC), led by Artistic Director Grant Gershon, launches the 2014|15 season, its 51st, with a spectacular multi-faceted cinematic and aural event featuring the Walt Disney Concert Hall premiere of Richard Einhorn's "brilliantly effective" (Washington Post) 1994 work Voices of Light/The Passion of Joan of Arc, inspired by and performed live to the 1928 silent film The Passion of Joan of Arc. Einhorn's evocative piece, written for orchestra, chorus and soloists, provides a haunting backdrop to the rarely seen restored version of Carl Dreyer's cinematic masterpiece, considered by many critics to be among the top films ever made.

According to an Equity Audition notice, the Steppenwolf's production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf will begin previews on Broadway on September 27, 2012 in anticipation of its previously announced October 13, 2012 opening at a Shubert Theatre to be announced. The B Street Theatre has announced its spring line-up. On the mainstage will appear Gina Gionfriddo's new comedy BECKY SHAW. The B-3 Series offering will be the American classic, I AM A CAMERA by John Van Druten. The Family Series will finish its season with Charles Way's exciting and moving version of the classic French tale, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

Playwrights Horizons announced today that the New York premiere of ME, MYSELF & I, a new play by three-time Pulitzer Prize and three-time Tony Award winner Edward Albee (A Delicate Balance; Seascape; Three Tall Women; Who's Afraid of Virgina Wolf?; The Goat or, Who Is Sylvia?) will open the theater company's 2010/2011 40th Anniversary Season. Mr. Albee will be making his Playwrights Horizons debut.
