Tonight's the night! This year's awards ceremony is hosted by Zachary Levi who is currently starring in Roundabout Theatre Company's She Loves Me on Broadway. He was nominated for a 2016 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his portrayal of Georg.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! THE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE AWARDS (NHSMTA)/JIMMY AWARDS has announced that 62 high school students from across America will compete for the Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress at the eighth annual awards ceremony. The presentation will take place on Monday, June 27th at 7:30PM at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan. Online theater streaming service BroadwayHD will live stream 'She Loves Me,' marking the first time a Broadway show has been broadcast live. Roundabout Theatre Company's hit revival of 'She Loves Me,' starring Laura Benanti, Zachary Levi and Jane Krakowski, will be available to watch live on BroadwayHD.com on Thursday, June 30 at 8 p.m. EDT. The show will be produced in association with Ellen M. Krass.

Today in 1993, the first Broadway revival of She Loves Me opened at Criterion Center Stage Right, where it ran for 354 performances. She Loves Me is a 1963 musical with a book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and music by Jerry Bock. The plot revolves around Budapest shop employees Georg Nowack and Amalia Balash who, despite being consistently at odds with each other at work, are unaware that each is the other's secret pen pal met through lonely-hearts ads. The Revival cast featured Boyd Gaines as Georg, Judy Kuhn as Amalia, Sally Mayes as Ilona, Howard McGillin as Kodaly, Lee Wilkof as Ladislav, Brad Kane as Arpad, and Louis Zorich as Mr. Maraczek. A revival cast recording was released by Varese Sarabande.

Author of BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, Annie Proulx, recently moved to Seattle to be near the red cedar trees, which she loves and has written about in her books.  However, she told the Guardian that she has been sick ever since moving, and has discovered that she's actually allergic to the trees.

Stage star Laura Benanti took to Twitter today to apologize to theatergoers for her absence from tonight's performance of Roundabout Theatre Company's SHE LOVES ME. The actress is ill but hopes to return to the show tomorrow. BroadwayWorld wishes her a speedy recovery!
