Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues its eighteenth season with John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath" in an adaptation by Frank Galati. This production features CSC Ensemble Members Justin McCombs, Sherman Fracher and Drew Fracher and is directed by Brian Isaac Phillips. "The Grapes of Wrath" opens on March 30th and runs through April 29, 2012. The production design is generously sponsored by AAA.
The Left Out Festival Celebrates Fifth Year of LGBT Theatre at Stage Left Studio

Stage Left Studio's Left Out Festival will celebrate itss fifth year from April 14 to April 25, with fourteen performances selected by producers Cheryl King and Joe Hutcheson. The Festival includes three premieres, three popular favorites, and selected shorts from upcoming new works and current offerings at Stage Left Studio. The festival highlights gay and lesbian theatre artists while benefiting Bailey House.

San Jose Rep’s DOUBLE INDEMNITY Announces Casting

A veteran cast brings its acclaimed performance of the noir classic Double Indemnity to San Jose, in a world premiere co-produced by the San Jose Repertory Theatre and Seattle's A Contemporary Theatre (ACT). The ensemble of five actors from Seattle and the Bay Area brought the story to stage during a successful run of Double Indemnity in Seattle in October 2011.

On Thursday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall, the Carnegie Hall Notables-a membership and ticket program for music enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s-will host Love Letters, a performance of contemporary American playwright A. R. Gurney's work. Celebrated soprano Renée Fleming and award-winning actor Alec Baldwin will perform the piece as directed by Mark Lamos with executive producer Susan Q. Gallin. After the exclusive event, the Notables will gather at Providence for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, with music by Paul D. Miller, aka DJ Spooky.

Three-time Tony Award-winning scenic designer ROBIN WAGNER and esteemed costume designer LEWIS BROWN are among the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 8 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Brown was selected to receive the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer Robin Wagner will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. Sadly, Mr. Brown passed away in January of 2011. His award will be accepted by his long-time colleague and friend, Albert Wolsky, who was the recipient of the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award

The show is directed by Lennie Watts and features Nate Buccieri on Piano and Sean Harkness on Guitar.
