The 14/48 Projects is collaborating for the third consecutive summer with Café Nordo, Seattle's homegrown masters of innovative dinner theater, to present 14/48: Nordo - Food Theater Thunderdome in Nordo's Culinarium August 17-26, 2017. Two weekends, two different artistic teams, two unique experiences.

14/48: Nordo combines the pressure-cooker of The World's Quickest Theater Festival with the immersive experience and culinary excellence of Café Nordo. On the Sunday night of each week, four playwrights are paired with four chefs, given a random ingredient and a common theme, a randomly selected director, and a randomly drawn cast. They will have four days to write, rehearse, prepare recipes, and serve audiences the fruits of their labors on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights: four plays interwoven with a four-course meal.

Summer 2015 marked the first collaboration between these two companies, meeting with sold-out houses and a rave review in the Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/l-steven-sieden/cafe-nordo-and-1448-proje_b_8038602.html

The 14/48 Projects: Season Four

The 14/48 Projects is in the middle of its fourth season producing 14/48: The World's Quickest Theater Festival, Theater Anonymous, and other collaborative artistic events. The 14/48 Projects continues to develop an international network of 14/48 Festivals, and recently partnered with 14/48: UK for 14/48: Takeover with professional artists producing scripts written by students simultaneously in three locations in the US and Great Britain. We continue to support 14/48: HS, an entirely student-run festival, and are in the middle of a four-year production agreement with ACT Theater, making our signature festival a cornerstone of the ACTLab program. Our Partner Project program continues to support new work by festival veterans all around Seattle, most recently Infinity Box Theater Projects' Centrifuge 2. The 14/48 Projects is led by President Jodi-Paul Wooster and Executive Director Shawn Belyea.

Since 2009, Café Nordo has served up modern cuisine while thrilling audiences with the history, myth, science and politics of food. In April 2015, Café Nordo opened "A Seattle institution" (Huffington Post), the permanent venue Nordo's Culinarium, in the former home of the Elliott Bay Book Company in Pioneer Square's Globe Building. The first theater to return to this beloved neighborhood in over a decade, Nordo's Culinarium offers unique, year-round live entertainment integrating food and drink.
