The Theatre Group at SBCC presents Sarah Ruhl's quirky comedy, DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE, as the final offering in the 2014-2015 Season

For its final offering in the 2014-2015 season The Theatre Group at SBCC will present Sarah Ruhl's comedy, DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE, directed by Katie Laris in the Jurkowitz Theatre, April 17-May 2, 2015.

An incessantly ringing cell phone in a quiet café. A woman at the next table who has had enough. And a dead man-with a mysterious past. So begins Dead Man's Cell Phone, a wildly imaginative new comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist, Sarah Ruhl. Ruhl's quirky heroine, Jean, embarks on an unexpected journey guided by a stranger's cell phone determined to make things right. Along the way she discovers friendship, despair and romance. The New York Times describes the play as a "beguiling new comedy ...Ms. Ruhl's work blends the mundane and the metaphysical, the blunt and the obscure, the patently bizarre and the bizarrely moving."

Dead Man's Cell Phone will feature: Brian Harwell, Kathy Marden, Leona Paraminski, Shannon Saleh, Jenna Scanlon and Justin Stark.

Dead Man's Cell Phone will be performed in the intimate Jurkowitz Theatre on SBCC's West Campus, 900 block of Cliff Drive.
