But a mysterious femme-fatale steps into the scene, threatening to create chaos with Angel’s wife and Angel’s life.

Just in time to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month, Theatre Rhinoceros has announced the return of performer Tina D’Elia and her skillfully crafted cast of Latinx characters in Overlooked Latinas, the first show of their 2023-24 Season.
Theatre Rhinoceros has announced the 2023-24 Season – the company's 47th as the longest-running LGBTQIA+ theatre in the universe.
Theatre Rhinoceros has announced the return of the electrifying Tina D'Elia (Overlooked Latinas) and her crazy collection of show biz types. A one-woman comedy noir, The Rita Hayworth of this Generation is the story of Carmelita Cristina Rivera, a queer Latina whose love of Rita Hayworth and desire for movie stardom lead her to Las Vegas, where she labors to win the heart of Jesus Antonio Atano, the Latino Transgender Blackjack King of Vegas.
Originally scheduled to run through October 29, Tina D’Elia’s Overlooked Latinas has been extended due to popular demand at The Marsh San Francisco, adding two final performances November 17 & 19.
Tina D’Elia will return to The Marsh San Francisco with her fourth solo show, Overlooked Latinas. Set in January 2021, this new queer telenovela farce of the century follows two queer Latinx best friends, Angel Torres and Carla Garcia, who are collaborators on a television pilot that highlights legendary Latinx movie stars during the McCarthy era.
It's the Rhino's 46th Anniversary Season with an exciting line-up of new, in-person evenings of entertainment. Plus, our stellar reading series! Plus, surprises and pop-ups along the way! Plus, John Fisher's on-going Essential Services Project (aka E.S.P.) And all of it in the funnest neighborhood anywhere: The Castro! We are the ONLY live theatre in the most queer hood in the universe.
Theatre Rhinoceros will present OVERLOOKED LATINAS, written and performed by Tina D'Elia Directed by Mary Guzmán, a live on-line streaming production on November 13 - 22, 2020.
The forty-fourth season at Theatre Rhinoceros will begin inside with some slammin' live stream productions and then hopefully venture outside into theaters again.
