Sonoma State University's Dept. of Theatre Arts & Dance presents "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde. Everybody loves Ernest...But nobody's quite sure who he really is.

Perhaps the most perfectly funny play ever written, Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest" skewers the British upper classes and their traditions of love, marriage and social conformity as it follows the follies of two eligible British bachelors courting two young women - each determined to marry a man named Ernest. Director Judy Navas sets Wilde's witty satire in colonial India for this main stage production.
