THE BIG HOT MESS, written and performed by Catherine Debon and featuring Kevin Copps as the Boss and voiceover by Owen Walker, will be directed by Amanda Ortmayer as part of DIVAfest this June.

The red numbers on the digital clock stare at her like the devil's eyes. In this corporate Film Noir world, Lavana fights to reclaim her missing soul. But can duct tape stop her from falling into madness while the red numbers stare on, or will our heroine end up one more victim of The Boss.

An exploration of aging and corporate manipulation, THE BIG HOT MESS brings the Film Noir genre to the stage. This exciting new performance piece brings together a year's worth of improvisation and development by DIVAfest board member Catherine Debon, and turns a stylish lens on greed and manipulation in the workplace, exposing the tension between boss and employee, man and woman, limits and limitlessness.

Opening Night (June 3) come in a Film Noir Costume and compete for a $50 prize, then stay for our post-show saketini party. Plus film noir trivia contests every night with special prizes!

Playing June 3-18 at 8 PM at the EXIT Theatre (156 Eddy Street, San Francisco). Get tickets at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2476193.
