Hillbarn Theatre, the Peninsula's premier community theatre company, concludes its 2014-2015 season with Kander and Ebb's award-winning musical, Curtains. From the creative team behind Chicago and Cabaret - and a book by Rupert Holmes - Curtains is a hilariously entertaining whodunit with a clever and contagiously catchy toe-tapping score. It's opening night at Boston's Colonial Theatre and the leading lady has mysteriously died on stage, leaving the cast and crew as suspects. Local detective Frank Cioffi, a theater fan and amateur actor, arrives to conduct the investigation. As the body count rises and secrets spill, Cioffi becomes more and more involved in saving the musical than solving the case. Curtains debuted on Broadway in 2007 and was nominated for eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book and Best Original Score. Curtains will run May 7 -31, 2015 at Hillbarn Theatre (1285 East Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City). Performances are Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Press night for Curtains will be on Friday, May 8, 2015. Single tickets range in price from $23 - $42 and are available now by calling 650.349.6411 ext. 2 or visiting www.hillbarntheatre.org.

Says Dan Demers, Hillbarn Theatre Executive Artistic Director: "What better way to close out our 2014-15 season - and get ready to launch our 75th season - than with the madcap murder mystery musical Curtains. Audiences will be taken on a wild ride of love, laughter, and mystery until the surprise ending!"

Hillbarn Theatre's production of Curtains features an ensemble cast of 23 actors led by Ross Neuenfeldt as Lt. Frank Cioffi and Brandy Mieszkowski as Niki Harris. Joining them are Katherine Stein, Sasha Motalygo, Christopher Nelson, Raymond Mendonca, Jessica Maxey, Russell Ward, Amnon Levy, John Rinaldi, Charlie Fields, Deborah Rosengaus, AnJu Hyppolite, Patrick Lahey, Gregory Lynch, Daniel Norberg, Katie Hontalas, Christine Baker, Alyson Chilton, Jessamy Collier, Patricia Grewell and Tori Heibel.

Directed by Nancy Fitzgerald-Metzler, the creative team for Curtains includes music director Tony Asaro, choreographer Jayne Zaban, scenic designer A. J. Diggins, costume designer Valerie Emmi, sound designer Alan Chang, master electrician Aya Matsutomo, properties designer Alexandra Nemchik and stage manager Rickie Bolin.

Hillbarn Theatre would like to acknowledge its 2014-15 company sponsors: Foster City Islander, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, Peninsula Beauty and Penelope's Coffee & Tea.
