Hillbarn Theatre, the Peninsula's premier theatre company, continues its "Season of Belonging" with Neil Simon's classic farce, Rumors. This Broadway hit tells the story of Charley and Myra Brock who are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary and have invited all their good friends. Chris and Ken Gorman, a legal couple, are the first ones to arrive. They show up only to find that Myra is missing and Charley has "accidentally" shot himself in the ear. Charley is the deputy Mayor of New York City and, hoping to avoid a scandal, Ken and Chris go about covering up before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

Rumors will perform March 9-26, 2017 at Hillbarn Theatre (1285 East Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City). Performances are Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Press night for Rumors will be Friday, March 10, 2017. Single tickets range in price from $45 - $48 and are available now by calling 650.349.6411 ext. 2 or visiting www.hillbarntheatre.org.

"In my opinion, Neil Simon's, Rumors, is the perfect antidote to reality!" says Director Hunt Burdick. "This ensemble show is non-stop silliness clad in an upper-crust world. Its continuous intrigue and hilarity will have the audiences on the edges of their seats, while the superior cast holds them gently in their talented hands."

Rumors features an ensemble cast Bill Davidovich as Glenn Cooper, Bobbi Fagone as Chris Gorman, Craig Lewis as Ken Gorman, Dan Demers as Ernie Cusack, Jim Amato as Lenny Ganz, Kelly Hudson as Cookie Cusack, Linda Picoone as Claire Ganz and Nicole Martin as Cassie Cooper.

The creative team for Rumors also includes Debbie Heiman (Stage Manager), Mae Matos (Costume Designer), Dee Morrissey (Hair & Make-Up), David Gotlieb (Lighting Designer), Rosie Issel (Prop Designer) and Kuo-Hao Lo(Scenic Designer).

Hillbarn Theatre's production of Rumors is made possible by the 2016-2017 company sponsors: Foster City Islander, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Rotary Foundation and Penelope's Coffee & Tea.
