This holiday season, Hillbarn Theatre - the Peninsula's premier community theatre company - will present Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins, the magical high-Flying Musical that has swept the hearts and imaginations of families around the globe. Based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film, Mary Poppins follows the story of young Jane and Michael who have sent many nannies packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of common sense - and a little bit of magic - she teaches the family members how to value each other again. This delightful musical features favorite Mary Poppins tunes including "A Spoonful of Sugar," "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," "Jolly Holiday," "Let's Go Fly a Kite," "Step in Time," and "Chim Chiminey."

The recipient of nine Olivier and seven Tony Award nominations - including Best Musical - Mary Poppins will run November 25-December 18, 2016 at Hillbarn Theatre (1285 East Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City). Performances are Wednesdays-Saturdays at 8 p.m.and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Press night for Mary Poppins will beSaturday, November 26, 2016. Led by Caitlin McGinty as everyone's favorite nanny, Mary Poppins features Jim Ambler as Burt, Katherine Stein as Mother, Fred Feizollahi as George Banks, Katie Maupin as Jane and Andrew Marheineke as Michael. The cast also includesDarnlene Batchelder, Noah Boger, Rebecca Carteris, Evelyn Chan, Alyson Chilton, Fred Feizollahi, Gary Giurbino, Sarah Hammond, Abby Haug, Paris Howard, Tristan Howard, Ron Lopez, Michelle M., Jenni Martin, Elana Ron,Katherine Stein, Jay Thulien, Lisa W., Molly Zwiebach, Paul Estioko, Regina Quigley, Susie Toussaint and Kyle Arrouzet.

Directed by Dan Demers, the creative team for Mary Poppins includes music directorGregory Cheng and choreographer Michelle Shannon.
