CHITTY, CHITTY, BANG, BANG to Play Theater at the Children's Creativity Museum Today

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's everybody's "fine four fendered friend" Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, coming to the Theater at the Children's Creativity Museum, 221 4th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, today, October 10, in a new stage version for young audiences adapted from the hit musical film about a brother, a sister, their eccentric family, and their miraculous car.

Presented by the Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT), Chitty, Chitty Bang, Bang, TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences version) plays weekends in San Francisco at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. through Sunday, November 8.

Directed by Karen Altree Piemme, this lively story about the amazing adventures of the Potts family will have audiences singing along with young Jeremy and Jemima, as they take on the Vulgarians, who have kidnapped Grandpa and want Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for the Baron's birthday.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang , TYA, has been adapted for the stage by Jeremy Sams, based on the MGM motion picture, with a licensed script adapted by Ray Roderick. The production features the music and lyrics of Richard and Robert Sherman. Recommended for ages 4 and up.

Run Continues in Berkeley, San Ramon

After its San Francisco run, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, TYA, moves to the Freight & Salvage, 2020 Addison Street, Berkeley 94703, where it plays weekends at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Saturday, November 14 - Sunday, December 13.

From Berkeley, the musical moves to the Dougherty Performing Arts Center, 10550 Albion Road, San Ramon 94582, for one weekend only: Saturday, December 19, and Sunday, December 20 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
