Transcendence Theatre Company's popular Broadway Under the Stars show series will present "Fantastical Family Night" for two nights only July 14 and 15 in the 150-year old open-air Winery Ruins at Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen. This is a fun family outing that begins with pre-show picnics and activities including face painting and pony rides at 5 pm, prior to the 7:30 pm show.

Unlike previous family shows, this year's "Fantastical Family Night" tells a story, one that resonates for all. The adventure unfolds with an adult alone in the world and follows his attempt to reconnect with his inner child. Join in this epic journey told through popular songs from Broadway, Disney, Top 40 and some original music. You'll discover the crossroads where youthful joy and the wisdom of age meet in a vibrant celebration of life's adventure through music and dance.

The artistic team for the popular "Fantastical Family Night" includes Director and Choreographer Roy Lightner, Associate Director and Choreographer Matthew Rossoff, and Music Director Julie Danielson.

"Fantastical Family Night" will feature performers Aaron Alcaraz, Adam Shonkwiler, Amy Miller, Brad Surosky, Brooke Lacy, Cameron Hobbs, Christopher Youngsman, Ellen Toscano, Freddie Kimmel, Heather McCornack, Jessica Lee Coffman, Kathryn Allison, Kayley Anne Collins, Meggie Cansler, Nikko Kimzin, Rebekah Pearson, Tara Heal, Taylor Avazpour and Taylor Markarian.

A highlight of the "Fantastical Family Night" shows is the special performance by the Broadway Kids Camp campers as the team pays a "transcendent tribute" to the end of camp. The Kids Camp is a week-long fun experience with Transcendence Theatre Company staff of professionals mentoring children through a series of musical theater workshops designed to build confidence, inspire creativity, and instill well-being in a non-competitive and nurturing environment. Managers for Kids Camp 2017 are Casey Hebbel and Jennifer Farmer, and the instructors are Alexander "AJ" Ackleson, Gavin Waters, Joshua Bailey, Lori Haley Fox, Rachel Louise Thomas, Erika Conaway and Rhyn McLemore Saver.

Transcendence's Broadway Under the Stars is an award-winning series of Broadway-inspired concerts featuring performers from Los Angeles and New York - artists who come to the Sonoma stage directly from recent Broadway appearances. More than a standard musical revue, each show weaves popular Broadway songs into a spectacular themed performance performed in the open-air 150-year-old Winery Ruins at Jack London State Historic Park.

All events begin with picnicking amidst scenic vineyard settings - food trucks or gourmet picnic baskets spread out, local wineries pouring and pre-show music casting a magical spell of communal festivity and a summer party. Sunset heralds the start of the show and the stage begins to sparkle as dusk descends and the Broadway stars sing and dance under a starlit nighttime sky.
