Thanks to its popularity last year, the Old Globe is brining back the Shakespeare special event "Thinking Shakespeare Live!" This is the perfect an introduction for families, young audiences, and people who may be intimidated by Shakespeare. This 90-minute presentation on May 3 at 11am is a great way to start thinking about the approaching summer Shakespeare festival season at the Old Globe.

"Thinking Shakespeare Live!" is a ninety-minute presentation on Saturday, May 3, at 11am at the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage at the Old Globe. The Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein will lead this informative and fun presentation. He will also be helped by three classical actors to help demonstrate the approach actors can take to demystifying and performing Shakespeare.

This presentation is based on the book "Thinking Shakespeare: A How-To-Guide for Student Actors, Directors, and Anyone Else Who Wants to Feel More Comfortable with the Bard", written by Edelstein. Called by NPR "one of the country's leading Shakespeareans," Edelstein and the actors will help the audience with techniques and a behind the scenes look at how to better read, hear and perform Shakespeare.

Tickets are $10 for subscribers and full-time students and $15 for general audiences. Tickets can be purchased online at www.TheOldGlobe.org, or by calling (619) 23-GLOBE.
