Neil Patrick Harris to Voice Spider-Man in Upcoming Video Game

According to reports, stage and screen actor Neil Patrick Harris will be lending his voice to the Amazing Spider-Man in Activision Publishing Inc.'s upcoming game, "Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions." The game is currently being showcased in San Diego at Comic-Con and will be released on September 7.

Along with Harris, Josh Keaton, Christopher Barnes, and Dan Gilvezan will each provide the voices of different incarnations of Spider-Man that have been published by Marvel Comics. Stan Lee will serve as narrator for the game which features original music from Emmy Award-winning composer Jim Dooley.

Harris previously played the voice of Spider-Man in 2003 in "Spider-Man: The New Animated Series." Neil Patrick Harris is one of the stars of the CBS sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother,' playing the womanizing Barney Stinson. He also starred in Joss Whedon's musical web series 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.' Harris's stage credits include PROOF, CABARET, and ASSASSINS on Broadway, as well as TICK, TICK...BOOM!, ALL MY SONS, and AMADEUS. Harris appeared as himself in the two previous 'Harold and Kumar' films. This year, Harris guest starred on the hit FOX series GLEE.  

"Spider-Man: Shattered Dimension"s will be available in Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC and Nintento DS versions.
