In the summer of 2014, Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre (CVRep) presented the world premiere staged reading of Happy Hour by George Eastman, starring Gavin MacLeod and Michael Shaw. In the months since, Director Ron Celona and the playwright George Eastman, have been working together on script changes, with the goal of developing a full production of Happy Hour for the 2015-2016 Season at CVRep.

On Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 7th, CVRep proudly presents a second staged reading of this developing play. Both Gavin MacLeod (The Love Boat, Mary Tyler Moore) and Michael Shaw (artistic director of Dezart Performs) are excited to reprise and further explore their roles of father and son in this moving, humorous and touching story.

Happy Hour will be performed at CVRep in Rancho Mirage on Saturday, December 6th at 7 PM and Sunday, December 7th at 2 PM. Tickets are $20.00 includes dessert reception.

Happy Hour is the story of a father and son dealing with the father's aging process and his growing inability to live on his own.

"CVRep's 86-seat theater is the ideal venue for a staged reading. It provides just the right level of intimacy, allowing audience members to get up close and personal with the performers - a perfect way to spend an evening or afternoon," says CVRep Artistic Director, Ron Celona.

"For several years now, Gavin has been a great supporter and ambassador of CVRep," continues Celona. "He serves on our Artistic Advisory Council."

Following each performance, and included in the ticket price, will be a dessert reception with the cast and director, sponsored by Brookdale Mirage Inn.

The CV Repertory Theatre is located in The Atrium, 69-930 Highway 111, in Rancho Mirage. Tickets are available at the theatre box office between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM Monday-Friday, and two hours prior to show time...or Call 760-296-2966. To order tickets online visit www.cvrep.org
