As the third offering of its 2012 season, and the last one in it's current space at the Blue Star Arts Complex, the Overtime Theater in San Antonio presents a new comedy, For The Love of an Anesthesiologist, a comedy about the lengths we go to for love.

Alfred is driven to an unpleasant act by his devoted love for Claudia, an anesthesiologist. This act leads, in turn, to a life outside the law. A mysterious stranger leads him to a tiki-inspired cocktail lounge, somewhere on The Edge of life and death. Unfortunately for Alfred, the embodiments of what he could have been and what he was converge, each wanting to set the record straight.

For The Love of an Anesthesiologist is the first offering that the Overtime has staged from writer Brad McEntire. Brad is a mask and puppet maker, playwright, performer, director and teaching artist. From 1999 to 2006 he was the founding Artistic Director of theatre group Audacity Productions in Dallas. Since 2008 he has been the Artistic Director of Audacity Theatre Lab, also in Dallas. It is directed by Bryan Ortiz who is a lauded local filmmaker as well as the director of Life, Or a Reasonable Approximation Thereof by Michael Burger on the Overtime stage in July of 2011 and the hit musical Dr. S Battles the Sex-Crazed Reefer Zombies: The Movie: The Musical which he co-wrote and staged in October of 2010.
