James Lecesne's The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey will play the PepsiCo Theatre, Performing Arts Center, Purchase College, on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 3 p.m. Tickets at tickets.artscenter.org/single/SYOS.aspx?p=6153.

One of the greatest storytellers of his generation, James Lecesne (the writer of the Academy Award-Winning film Trevor), portrays every character in a small Jersey Shore town as they unravel the story of Leonard Pelkey, a tenaciously optimistic and flamboyant 14-year-old boy. A luminous force of nature whose magic is only truly felt once he is missing, Leonard becomes the unexpected inspiration for a town as they question how they love, who they love, and what they leave behind.

Originally developed and first presented at Dixon Place in New York City, The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey is written and performed by James Lecesne, and directed by Tony Speciale, with original music by Tony Award-winning composer Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening).
