The Wiggles to Visit The VETS in Providence, 9/25

After years of captivating children from around the globe, the number one children's entertainment group, The Wiggles, are bringing their "catchy brand of preschool pop" (Chicago Tribune) back to North American audiences. This fall, "the band that rocks the cradle" (The New York Times) will delight families across the country in support of their new CD and DVD, Apples and Bananas (available August 26), as well as a new season of their hit television show airing on Sprout.

The Wiggles will be at The VETS in Providence on Thursday, September 25th at 6:30pm. Tickets are $29.50-$49.50 and go on sale Friday June 20th. Tickets can be purchased online at www.TheVetsRI.com, by calling 401.421.ARTS (2787), or in person at the PPAC/The VETS box office located at 220 Weybosset St, Providence. Summer Box Office Hours: M-Th, 10A - 3P; open two hours prior to curtain time on performance dates. The VETS is located at One Avenue of the Arts. The VETS will be closed for renovation until September.

Founding member Anthony Field (Blue Wiggle) along with Emma Watkins (Yellow Wiggle), Simon Pryce (Red Wiggle) and Lachlan Gillespie (Purple Wiggle) will be joined on stage by the lovable Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus for a wiggly good time! The Aussie Fab Four will treat North American audiences to new music from Apples and Bananas, a collection of classic nursery rhymes such as "This Old Man" and "The Wheels on the Bus," as well as old favorites including "Hot Potato", "Rock-A-Bye Your Bear", "Do The Propeller" and "Get Ready to Wiggle."

About the VETS

The Veterans Memorial Auditorium (The VETS) is a 1,900 seat theatre located in downtown Providence. The VETS is managed by Professional Facilities Management (PFM) and is part of the Rhode Island Convention and Entertainment Complex. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. The VETS is currently undergoing extensive renovations to make it a state of the art performance facility.
