The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre, a professional, nonprofit theater company in Pawtucket, RI, has received a grant of $7,500 from the Providence Journal Charitable Fund at the Rhode Island Foundation. The grant underwrites The Gamm's current production, William Shakespeare's Macbeth, on stage until April 19.

Tony Estrella, Artistic Director for The Gamm Theatre, said, "We are grateful to the Providence Journal Charitable Fund for this support. Underwriting our production allows us to employ some of the finest professional artists in New England, while keeping our ticket prices accessible."

"I am pleased that the Providence Journal Charitable Fund can provide its support to The Gamm Theatre and its powerful work on stage," said Howard Sutton, President, Publisher and CEO of The Providence Journal Company and Trustee of the Providence Journal Charitable Fund, a designated fund at The Rhode Island Foundation that supports local nonprofits.

Macbeth is on stage at The Gamm Theatre until April 19, 2014, playing Wednesdays through Sundays. Tickets at 401-723-4266 or gammtheatre.org. The Gamm Theatre's production is part of Shakespeare for a New Generation, a national program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
