Ocean State Theatre Company's Producing Artistic Director, Amiee Turner, who won rave reviews for her portrayal of Mama Rose in last summer's production of Gypsy, will take the stage in her very own concert, "Once in Love, with Amiee: Puppy Love, Heartbreak and Ever After," on Sunday, February 14 at 7:30 pm.

Join Amiee for a night full of the musical exploration of love. Not a night of sappy love songs - (although there will be one or two!) - but a night that looks at the human journey and the many parts of the love we experience throughout our lifetime. Romantic, thoughtful, uplifting and resourceful. Whether you bring your sweetheart, your broken heart, or just yourself... "Once in Love, with Amiee: Puppy Love, Heartbreak and Ever After," will be a night to enjoy.

Ms. Turner has had a long and eclectic career spanning three decades. While still a teenager, she had already toured the U.S. as Kristine in A Chorus Line and Cassandra in CATS. She quickly established herself in NYC making her Broadway debut as Phyllis in 42nd Street at nineteen. Her additional Broadway credits include The Will Rogers Follies, My Favorite Year, The Goodbye Girl, A Funny Thing...Forum, and Dame Edna: The Royal Tour. Although Rhode Island primarily knows her as a director and producer, her extensive acting career includes Pal Joey at the Huntington, Ankles Aweigh at Goodspeed Opera House, and three productions at Westchester Broadway Theatre. Additionally she founded A.I.S.O.P. Theatre Co. in New York City, co-produced and starred in the independent film Sunday on the Rocks, alongside Tony Award-winners Cady Huffman and Julie White and directed by Emmy Award winner Joe Morton, and several television appearances including "Law & Order."

Directed by NYC choreographer MK Lawson (The Winter Wonderettes and RENT for OSTC) and music directed by concert pianist Tamra Stephenson, who is currently on staff at the French American School of New York, the concert will feature music from the standard songbook to contemporary artists, including country to pop to Broadway, representing composers such as Harold Arlen, Marvin Hamlisch, Jim Brickman, Carole King, Rodgers & Hart and more.

The proceeds from "Once in Love, with Amiee: Puppy Love, Heartbreak and Ever After" will benefit Ocean State Theatre Company's Annual Fund for Artistic Excellence, which ensures that programming and casting choices are made based on the highest artistic standards, rather than being influenced by economic factors. Although OSTC prides itself in hiring approximately 60% of its performers and creative team from the greater Rhode Island area, the Fund for Artistic Excellence allows OSTC to combine the local talent with talent from across the country, which benefits the production quality, the local economy, and the local talent!

"Once in Love, with Amiee: Puppy Love, Heartbreak and Ever After," starring Amiee Turner, will be presented at Ocean State Theatre on Sunday, February 14 at 7:30 pm. The theatre is located at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI. All tickets are $39. A Valentine's Day package, which includes chocolates, a rose and champagne is also available for $114 per couple. (The Valentine's Day package is available at the box office or via telephone only - not online.) Additional donations to OSTC's Live Music Initiative are always welcome.
