The Arts Guild of Woonsocket will hold its 2nd Annual Arts & Music Festival on Saturday, June 28 from 10 am to 7 pm at River Island Park in Woonsocket.

The day's event will include the presentation of original work by local and regional artists. Bobo the Clown will be on hand to entertain the kiddies, and there will be face painting and chalk drawing as well.

Ten area bands will perform throughout the day, featuring an eclectic blend of musical styles sure to please every age group. Comedians John Morris and John Kelley will serve as emcees for the day.

A penny social raffle and split-the-pot rounds out the activities, but the festival would not be complete without food and there will be plenty. The Guild will be serving homemade dynamites, crepes, hot dogs and beverages. Other local food vendors will be on hand with a variety of culinary delights.

Music lineup: The Young Rhodes (10 am); Kit Carson (10:50 am); Able Thought (11:40 am); Spencer Soucy (12:30 pm); A Final Paradox (1:25 pm); Gin Mill Jane (2:20 pm); Rich Ferri Band (3:15 pm); The Mill Rats (4:10 pm); Smith & Weeden (5:10 pm); and The Stilts (6:10). Bring your lawn chairs so you can sit, relax and enjoy the performances.

Vendor space is still available. Complete information on the event, including how to sign on as a vendor, can be found at www.artsgw.com, or by calling Connie Anderson at (401)356-0255.

Rain date for the event is Sunday, June 29.
