A Christmas Carol was one of the first events Cranston arts collaborative Artists' Exchange put on after it opened its doors in 2004, making this year's 10th annual production not only a continued celebration of a beloved holiday tradition, but a grander celebration of a decade of fostering its creative community.

Still, 'tis the season that brings more productions of A Christmas Carol than the miserly Scrooge can shake a stick at, so what makes the Artists' Exchange version different?

First, as always, it's an integrated cast, joining actors of all ages and abilities in the telling of this timeless tale. Second, the show is performed in two very different spaces offering two distinct audience experiences: it opens in the intimate 100 seat house at the nonprofit's secondary venue Theatre 82, and closes at the 1000 seat house at the historic Park Theatre down the street. Third, and new this year, the production will have a twist, the entire production will be told through the eyes of a child and take on a storybook quality as envisioned by Director Clara Weishahn.

Want to join in on the celebration? Artists' Exchange's 10th annual production of A Christmas Carol will take place December 12th through the 21st, with the finale performance presented after its annual holiday gala.
