An ancient manuscript has been found in a parking lot in Leicester, England (alongside an unimportant-looking pile of bones that got tossed in a dumpster). This 425-year old text turns out to be the literary Holy Grail: William Shakespeare's Long Lost First Play (abridged) puts many of Shakespeare's most famous lines into surprising and comic contexts.

In this strange-yet-familiar narrative, an ancient grudge pits Puck (from Midsummer) against Ariel (from The Tempest) and turns Shakespeare's canon upside-down, creating such strange bedfellows as Hamlet and that master motivator Lady Macbeth, Viola and Richard III, King Lear and the Weird Sisters, and (of course) Dromio and Juliet. Using questionable scholarship and street-performer smarts, playwrights Reed Martinand Austin Tichenor weave together most of the famous speeches and plot devices of Shakespeare's thirty-nine plays to create a fast, funny, and fictional fortieth, filled with witty wordplay and vaudevillian variety.

"Long lost" received its first workshop production at Shakespeare Napa Valley under the artistic leadership of Jennifer King and now makes her directorial debut at Prague Shakespeare Company with the continental European premiere of this very funny play.

With Jared Doreck, Steve Josephson and John Poston onstage assisted Sinead Phelps, Eliza Roth and Petr Brezani offtstage.

Partners of the production are Kolowrat-Krakowsky family, the City of Prague, International School Prague, the British Embassy Prague, and Barrandov Studio a.s. Much Ado About Nothing is Shakespeare's beloved comedy of love, languish and language, featuring the ongoing battle of words and wits between Beatrice and Benedick and the dangerous deeds of Don John.

In this production of Much Ado..., it's 1942 England. Secure in an underground bunker, a group of British patriots - servicemen and women put on a radio broadcast of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing to raise morale of Allied soldiers on the front and men and women at home. The radio broadcast features radio performances from Allied pilots and female volunteers as well as AurOra Jones - a Hollywood film star volunteering with the American Red Cross. Audiences in the theater not only watch the actors record a radio play version of Much Ado... but they also get to see the actors create all the sound effects and other behind-the-scenes happenings involved with this group of soldiers and patriots putting on the show.

This production premiered in Prague in 2015 and instantly became one of the most successful productions of PSC's history, garnering international attention. The company played Much Ado... (and its production of Macbeth which Main Street brought to Houston several years ago) in Egypt at the historic Library of Alexandria as part of their 2016 Shakespeare Birthday celebration.

Note: Children under the age of 5 are not allowed in the theater.

Partners of the production are Kolowrat-Krakowsky family, the City of Prague, International School Prague, the British Embassy Prague, and Barrandov Studio a.s. Prague Shakespeare Company presents a special encore ONE SHOWING ONLY of the filmed version of one of the most successful productions in our history: Henry V.

Last seen in 2013 and the recipient of numerous Houston Press Theatre and BroadwayWorld Houston Theatre Awards & Award Nominations including Best Production, Best Director, Best Lead Actor and Costumes - this unique revival performance brings many of your favorite PSC artists on the stage to celebrate Shakespeare's unforgettable play about courage, leadership and honor in the face of overwhelming odds.

It's the early fifteenth century, and King Henry V has just assumed the English throne. When the Dauphin sends Henry an insulting message in response to England's claims to certain parts of France, Henry decides to invade. The war is ultimately decided at the Battle of Agincourt, at which the English are outnumbered by the French five to one. What happens in the end is nothing short of a miracle...

"Prague Shakespeare Company's production of Henry V is a brilliant feat of theatrical craftsmanship and magic. The dynamic and energetic production is alluring, fascinating, and powerful."
