Theater Works to Present LOVE IS HERE TO STAY: A GERSHWIN CABARET

From the creative team that brought us I GET A KICK OUT OF COLE, Theater Works presents the premiere of LOVE IS HERE TO STAY: A GERSHWIN CABARET, a celebration of the works of George and Ira Gershwin opening Friday, November 4, 2016.

Crafted by our own Musical Director, Steve Hilderbrand along with Gary Gallner, the show pays tribute to the Gershwin brothers who wrote a myriad of gorgeous music, including S'Wonderful, Shall We Dance, I Got Rhythm, and the wonderful score of Porgy and Bess. Experience the music, songs and stories you never knew from some of the most acclaimed composers in American music.

The cast of LOVE IS HERE TO STAY: A GERSHWIN CABARET is filled with talented singers and dancers lead by choreographer Katrina Sanders. Katrina was part of the creative team from last year's hits MAN OF LA MANCHA and I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE. Local actors Trisha Ditsworth, Kathleen Berger, Alexandra Utpadel, Beth Anne Johnson, Josh Vern, Colin Ross and Scott Schmelder are bringing the music of the Gershwin's to life. "We are excited to tell the stories of these great American musicians and share their enduring music with our audiences. I feel we have assembled a top notch team to do just that," says Chris Hamby, Producing Artistic Director.

LOVE IS HERE TO STAY: A GERSHWIN CABARET will be on the Gyder Theater at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts (8355 West Peoria Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345) November 4 - 20, 2016. Single tickets are now on sale. Regular price ticket $38; discounts for seniors, students, and groups. Flex passes are also available.
