Shakespeare is not only meant to be studied in school; it is to be spoken aloud and performed. This 8 week Shakespeare workshop for students aged 14 - 18 will help unlock the magic of Shakespeare.

The spring session of the workshop, taught by Quintessence actor Daniel Fredrick, will unleash the power of language in action by focusing on scenes and monologues from one of Shakespeare's comedies, Twelfth Night. This rigorous, rollicking, performance-based workshop will give you both comprehensive voice and movement training, and the tools to own Shakespeare's words, make them yours, and sink your teeth into his characters and text. This workshop will benefit both the experienced student and the complete beginner. No prior acting experience or knowledge of Shakespeare is necessary, though a healthy imagination will come in handy.

Classes will take place on Saturday mornings from 9:30am
to 12pm for 8 weeks beginning February 23. No class March 30.
Previous and new students are both encouraged to attend. Fee $150.

Daniel Fredrick has been seen in Quintessence's productions of Othello, The Venetian Twins, The Merchant of Venice, and Don Juan.
