Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) has announced three visiting productions at The Playhouse this Spring: the international hit comedy My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish, and I'm in Therapy!, a one-man show by award-winning author Steve Solomon and starring Peter J. Fogel; A return engagement of In The Mood, a 1940s swing dance musical revue featuring the String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra and the In The Mood Singers; and legendary comedian David Steinberg's one man show: David Steinberg: Might Be Something Big...Might Not. The Bucks County Playhouse is located at 70 South Main Street in New Hope, PA

My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish, and I'm in Therapy! will play a 3-week engagement, April 3 - 23. Described as "One part lasagna, one part kreplach, and two parts Prozac," you don't have to be Jewish or Italian to love this show. All you need is to know what it feels like to leave a family dinner with heartburn and a headache! My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish, and I'm in Therapy! played for two years in New York City and has toured internationally in more than 100 cities.

Written by award-winning author Steve Solomon, the hilarious one-man comedy is based on his life growing up in a wacky family noted for its bi-ethnic diversity and aptitude for dysfunctional behavior, and all the people in his life whose sole purpose was to drive him into therapy...and they succeeded! The author, whose mother is from Palermo and whose father is from Russia, grew up as one of two siblings in Brooklyn, NY.

Tickets are $40.00 for Wednesday and Thursday performances and $45.00 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances. Performance times are: Wednesdays at 2 and 7pm; Thursdays at 7 pm; Fridays at 8pm; Saturdays at 2 and 8pm; & Sundays at 2 pm. Group and military discounts are available. Tickets are available now and can be purchased at www.ItalianJewish.com or www.bcptheater.org or by calling 215-862-2121. For group discounts (15 or more), call 1-888-264-1788.

The show stars award-winning actor and comedian Peter Fogel, who has appeared in more than 20 television programs including Married With Children, Unhappily Ever After and Men Behaving Badly.

In The Mood will play Tuesday through Thursday, April 23 - 28. In the Mood celebrates America's Greatest Generation through the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Erskine Hawkins, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra and other idols of the 1940s. The show's music arrangements, costumes and choreography are as authentic as it gets.

This brassy, upbeat 1940s musical revue features a company of 19 on stage: the superb thirteen-piece String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra and the In The Mood Singers including a high-energy swing dance couple.

Last September, In The Mood was in residence for week-long sold out run at the Bucks County Playhouse starting on a Tuesday. By Thursday, virtually all of the remaining performances were sold out. Audiences were universally enthusiastic, joyous and tearful. From the musicianship to the evocation of the WWII years and the renditions of the finest music of the Swing Era, the response was overwhelmingly favorable. Early in 2013, the producers received an invitation to bring the show back and are pleased to be presenting In The Mood again April 23 through 28.
