GOD OF CARNAGE to Open This June at Civic Theatre

On June 17th, 2016, Civic Theatre will open GOD OF CARNAGE, which will be produced in Civic's historic 19th Street Theatre and will run through Sunday, June 25th. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at www.civictheatre.com or by calling Civic's Box Office at (610) 432-8943.

GOD OF CARNAGE is a comedy of manners without the manners! This internationally acclaimed comedy takes you into the most dangerous place on Earth: parenthood. The play is about two pairs of parents, one of whose child has hurt the other at a public park, who meet to discuss the matter in a civilized manner. However, as the evening goes on, the parents become increasingly childish, resulting in the evening devolving into unmannered chaos. From the writers that brought you the hit comedy Art comes this savagely funny Tony-Award-Winning Best Play that will leave you roaring with laughter!

Age Recommendation: 16+ for mature language. Civic's policy is to inform audiences of content, but to let parents, guardians, and teachers make decisions that they feel is most appropriate for youth and teens in their care.

Free parking for the shows is available along Liberty and Allen Streets near 19th Street, at Silver Shears at 1821 W. Allen Street, Allentown Appliance at 1824 W. Allen Street, the Wachovia Bank parking lot at 19th and Liberty, and the parking lot adjoining the Lafayette Ambassador band on 19th and Allen (after business hours).
